Come join us at the Colorado Fire Protection Association meeting at North Metro Fire Rescue HQ, on Wednesday, March 15th, starting at 11:45 AM. Lunch will be provided.

Presentation:

Due to health concerns created by the presence of PFAS in AFFF foams and potential groundwater contamination, these foams began to be phased out of firefighting and fire protection applications around the country. In Colorado, legislation was signed in 2019 to begin phasing out the use of AFFF foams. This presentation will discuss current requirements related to foam and some of the replacement options currently available.
